Making Christmas ornaments with the favor of Mother Nature.

Making Christmas ornaments with the favor of Mother Nature.
It was much easier than I expected!!
I realized that we can create most of things from what we've already have.
No more excess consuming!!
I hope to have a happy buy nothing day on Black Friday !!!

Seven of us worked together and our bond was getting tighter :)
It is a good way for building up a team to do handworks in a same space while chatting.

Jewish ritual

A volunteer from Israel hosted Kabbalat shabbat, a Jewish ritual usually hold every Fridays by/ for family members. It is meant to welcome Engels to the house. Nowadays it is a day for non- buying day or degital detox day with a wish of peace, happiness to all on the earth. A Muslim student shared his family event on Fridays. The ritual and the meanings are almost same among Christians, Muslims and jewish!!
We sang together, share wine and a bread.
It was a great touching moment.

Tempeh second batch!!

This is the second experiment of tempeh making. This time, I decided to remove the skin/membranes of chickpeas after boiling.
It was a hard work taking an hour at midnight. Even though this method might be good for tempeh mould penetrating into beans, I cannot recommend this method to all. I would like to find an alternative way....
Anyway, I did it!!

Then, I put it into the warm cupboard in Howthorn, one of our students dorm.
After 24hrs, it became like cotton candy!!
But still the mycelium has not developed evenly to all the beans.
It seems I need to be care when sprinkling the starter for the next time.
Waiting one more night to be done!!
Fingers crossed!!!

cottony mycelim of Temphe!

In Japan, we call temphe fungi "spider nets mould".
I confirmed that that's very true.
I am still wondering what made ancient asina people eat this like spider nets though.
I incubated temphe with chickpeas this time!!
It will be done tonight!!
Cant' wait!!
